Avon Area Ramblers

Walk with us

Welcome to Avon Area Ramblers

The Ramblers is Britain's biggest charity working to promote walking.

Avon Area covers the former County of Avon. We have seven groups which organise regular walks and social activities:

You are welcome to come along on two or three walks before joining the Ramblers - please see the websites for the separate groups or try the walks finder (this currently only shows walks by the Bristol, Norton Radstock and Severnside groups).

Our members also contribute to the Wessex Wanderer Railway Walks from stations along the Bristol to Weymouth line.

2015 AGM

Our AGM is on the 7 February at the Fry/Cadbury Club in Keynsham.

The official start of the meeting is 13:30.

A light lunch will be provided from 12:30 for those who would like to come early and meet old friends, or take the chance to read the Avon Area Accounts and Report for 2013/2014.

There will also be a pre-AGM walk, led by the Brunel group, which starts from the venue at 09:30 and is about 6 miles. A light lunch is provided for walkers who are staying for the AGM, on their return.

Richard Truman from Central office will be our guest speaker. Richard has been involved in the Tiger Bay young ramblers group in Cardiff, and will be talking about the future of the Ramblers.
