Avon Area AGM 2010
Avon Area  Ramblers held our AGM on Saturday 6th February 2009 at Warmley Community Centre. Details of elected officers are available on the contacts page.

The AGM was hosted by Kingswood Ramblers and John Davis took us on a walk around Siston Common.

The guest speaker at the AGM was Gus Halfhide  a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ramblers. He provided an overview of some of the successes achieved by Ramblers such as the South Downs National Park, Coastal Access Campaign and the Get Walking Keep Walking Initiative. He also gave an update on some of the issues that need to be addressed such as declining membership, the problems of introducing the CRM system, communication with members and volunteers and the setting of a balanced budget. In response to a number of searching questions, Gus reassured us that Ramblers Senior Management Team and the Board of Trustees are taking note of the issues raised by the rank and file. Time will tell.

All in all a very successful meeting.
